Guided Mu Chanting Day
About the Event
Guided Mu Chanting Day
Mu chanting is a powerful practice taught by 20th century Japanese Zen Master Nantembo. Daizan has previously introduced and described Nantembo’s way of practice on our download Zen Power in Practice: The Teachings of Nantembo Roshi (on this page you can also hear the experiences of a few Zenways students who have chanted Mu over longer periods).
This chanting day, run by sangha member Jason Christopher, will be a good opportunity to get a taste of what this energising practice can do for you.
After an introduction to Nantembo-style Mu chanting by Jason, we will embark on a day (10-5pm) of chanting together. We will follow the usual 25min sitting periods interspersed by walking meditation. The lunchtime break will be held in silence.
Please bring a cold vegetarian lunch to share.
