Noddfa is a Welsh word meaning refuge, a place of welcome and peace, a place where you can regain energy. The Noddfa centre is run by the Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Mary, and is a lovely old house which has views of the sea and the hills. The grounds are full of trees, colourful shrubs and flowers. there is also a walled vegetable garden, which provides fresh produce.
Location & Travel
The Noddfa centre is located on the North Wales coast in a village called Penmaenmawr close to Conwy. It sits in the foothills of mount Snowdon. You can take walks in the hills behind to clear your head, or take a stroll on the beach (just a ten minute walk away). Penmaenmawr station is within easy walking distance, and is on the main line through North Wales.
