The Enlightening Path of Zen Yoga

5-day Zen sesshin retreat led by Daizan Skinner Roshi.

“How you attain satori, how you make your dreams come true and how you restore your health… In a nutshell there is only one way to achieve all these. That is to research, devise and practise a life that would delight your life force” – Masahiro Oki

Masahiro Oki, Japanese Yoga Master and author of “Zen Yoga Therapy”, is an important source of Zen Yoga. This Zen retreat commemorates his hundredth anniversary. After an adventurous life including periods as a spy, a smuggler and a Zen monk, Masahiro Oki founded a residential dojo at the foot of Mount Fuji with an intense daily-life schedule, Students’ extraordinary results results achieved at the dojo led to requests for teaching from many quarters including the Japanese royal family. The Zen retreat-like daily schedule created by Master Oki is the basis of this sesshin. Suitable for those who have made yoga their primary practice as well as those who have mainly focused on the meditative arts, this retreat will feature both as well as a range of other activities including Zen running, cold showers, laughter, journaling and chanting. All activities will be voluntarily and each individual will be encouraged to respect their natural limits.

Beginners are welcome as well as experienced practitioners.
