London 200hr Yoga Teacher Training

4 April @ 7:00 am - 5 April @ 9:00 pm
Tuition fee: £2130

Event Navigation

We will be offering our non-residential training course again in 2020 at Imperial College London, Chaplaincy Multi-Faith Centre, Chemistry Building, South Kensington Campus, Imperial Road, London  SW7 2AZ.

This training is designed for people who can’t take two weeks out to complete the intensive Zenways 200 RYT on a residential basis. The material is the same as on the residential course, and is taught over seven weekends in 2020.

  • 4-5 April
  • 2-3 May
  • 6-7 June
  • 4-5 July
  • 5-6 September
  • 3-4 October
  • 7-8 November

Timings for the days are: Saturday-Sunday 7am-9pm. The programme follows the same timetable as the residential courses. It may look like the days are long, but there are plenty of breaks and the material is paced in such a way to make it very digestible.

We suggest that you treat the weekends as “retreats” to allow yourself to be fully immersed in the practice and learning, so you can gain the most from the experience. We ask that you put your mobile phones and communications devices away during the learning periods.
Completion of this course requires 100% attendance, so it is important to factor in travelling time to and from the venue – particularly on Sundays, when public transport options may be reduced – so that we can start on time at 7am on both days.
It is also possible to mix the residential and non-residential elements to achieve the Zenways Yoga Alliance-accredited 200RYT qualification.

We believe becoming a yoga teacher is about your personal journey, understanding and inner confidence. Rather than orientating our course around “our” way, we instead orientate ourselves around your path. We focus on giving you the principles and techniques to equip you for a lifetime of exploring, developing and teaching.

  • Gain a comprehensive “tool kit” that allows you to find your true expression and develop as a teacher for the rest of your life.
  • The course is uniquely based in the Yogacara (yoga practice) philosophy of Mahayana Buddhism, and was written by Zen master Daizan Skinner based on wisdom gained from 25+ years of Zen and yoga study.
  • Accredited by the world-wide standards body Yoga Alliance, and the Independent Yoga Network. Graduates are eligible to join REPS (Register of Exercise Professionals) level 3.
  • Join a growing family more than 200 Zenways teachers who have trained with us in the 10 years since this course began.
  • To train with us you’ll need a minimum two years regular yoga practice (or equivalent).

Accommodation and meals

If you need to travel in from outside London, we suggest you stay with a friend or find an AirBnB on the Friday and Saturday nights.
You will need to bring your own packed meals, drinks and snacks for both days. There is a kitchen with a fridge, sink, hot water for drinks and a microwave.
There are two cafes on the campus but the opening times are limited. There is also shop nearby that opens from 8am. There are shops and for outlets in nearby South Kensington.

You will need to bring a yoga mat and any props you require for your own practice. There are zafus, cushions and blankets at the chaplaincy.
